Chivas USA forward Juan Agudelo was named Major League Soccer's Player of the Week on Monday for Week 4 of the 2013 season.

Agudelo scored and added an assist in his club's 4-1 dismantling of the Chicago Fire on Sunday at Toyota Park.

Agudelo set up the go-ahead tally for the Goats in the 57th minute to break a 1-1 deadlock when he sent a perfect pass to Edgar Mejia, who ripped a wicked strike past Chicago goalkeeper Paolo Tornaghi.

15 minutes from time. Agudelo found the back of the net when he corralled a pass from Jorge Villafana on the break and curled a shot off the far post and past Tornaghi.

Chivas is tied with the Los Angles Galaxy for second place in the Western Conference with the result and will host Vancouver on Saturday.

The MLS Player of the Week award is selected each week by the North American Soccer Reporters. The group consists of members of online, print, television, and radio media.
