Billy Ray Cyrus said he is calling off his divorce in an attempt to rebuild his broken family, People magazine reported Thursday.
"I've dropped the divorce," Cyrus, 49, said in an interview on "The View" that will air Friday, according to the magazine.
"I want to put my family back together … Things are the best they've ever been," he continued.
Cyrus and his wife, Leticia "Tish" Cyrus, announced in October they were divorcing after 17 years of marriage. The couple have five children together, including the superstar singer and actress Miley.
"I feel like I got my Miley back. I feel like we're the daddy and daughter we were before 'Hannah Montana,'" he added about his 18-year-old daughter and co-star on the now-ended Disney sitcom.
Cyrus also responded to previous comments he made about his daughter's Disney success being the cause of his family's turmoil -- referring in particular to a GQ interview when he said, "The damn show destroyed my family."
"I don't think 'Hannah Montana' ruined my family," he told the ABC morning talk show.
"But to set the record straight, I love 'Hannah Montana.' I love Disney. That didn't tear my family apart. Now fame, fame is a different animal, you've got to be careful with that thing," he added.
The "Achy Breaky Heart" singer was initially scheduled to appear on "The View" on Feb. 23 but canceled the appearance in the wake of his controversial GQ interview.
He told the ladies of "The View" that Miley pressured him to forgo his media appearances and instead focus on working things out in the Cyrus clan.
