LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Chicago Bears have agreed to a two-year contract with receiver and kick returner Marc Mariani and waived safety Ahmad Dixon.
The moves were announced on Tuesday.
A seventh-round draft pick by Tennessee in 2010, Mariani made the Pro Bowl that season as a return specialist. He played in all 16 games in each of his first two seasons, but he has not appeared in a game since then.
Dixon appeared in five games for the Bears this season, recording four special teams tackles and a fumble recovery.
