An elementary school principal has been suspended after being charged with buying crack cocaine.

Murfreesboro Police arrested 58-year-old Donnie Johnson on Friday after officers reported seeing him buy the drugs on multiple occasions.

The Daily News Journal reported that Johnson is the principal at Rockvale Elementary School and has been employed by Rutherford County Schools for more than 30 years.

Police also arrested 29-year-old Tiquista Robinson, who they charged with selling the drugs to Johnson.

Johnson and Robinson were being held at the Rutherford County Jail. Jail records did not list an attorney for either.
