Washington Wizards forward Yi Jianlian will have an MRI on Wednesday on the right knee he sprained in the first quarter of Tuesday night's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

He was hurt while fouling Ron Artest during a layup and did not return to the game.

Yi was walking gingerly afterward and said the injury is on the "same spot" as the knee bruise that caused him to miss nine games earlier this season. He said it will probably "take some time" before he can play again.

Yi was acquired in an offseason trade with the New Jersey Nets. He is averaging 6.7 points per game.

The Wizards were already without point guard John Wall and forward Andray Blatche. Wall has tendinitis in his right knee, and Blatche was out with a sore left knee.
