London, England – Big-hitting Estonian Kaia Kanepi and German Andrea Petkovic have withdrawn from The Championships, Wimbledon.
The 16th-ranked Kanepi is out with a foot injury, while the 18th-ranked Petkovic is sidelined with an ankle problem.
Kanepi was a French Open quarterfinalist last week. Petkovic missed the Australian Open in January because of a lower back injury and skipped the recently-concluded French major due to an ankle injury.
The former top-10 star Petkovic reached three Grand Slam quarterfinals last year.
Wimbledon 2012 will commence June 25 at the All England Club.
