DETROIT (AP) - Pavel Datsyuk has a chance to win four straight Selke Trophies, which would be the first time that's happened in the NHL in 30 years.

The Detroit Red Wings star was named a Selke finalist Wednesday with Vancouver's Ryan Kesler and Chicago's Jonathan Toews. The award honors the NHL's best defensive forward.

Datsyuk became the first player to win it three years in a row since Bob Gainey's four-peat from 1978 to 1981.

Detroit coach Mike Babcock says Datsyuk would win it "hands down" had he played every game this season.

The Russian played a career-low 56 games because of injuries.
