New York Jets defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson was involved in a two-car crash Saturday morning and suffered minor injuries.

According to the New York Post, Wilkerson flipped his 2011 Dodge Challenger after hitting the rear of a 2011 Toyota Siena. He was trapped beneath the vehicle, but was able to extricate himself before state troopers arrived.

Wilkerson was taken to University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey and received several stitches on his forearm. He is expected to be fine when training camp begins.

He was ticketed for careless driving and failure to maintain a lane for the accident.

The Jets' first-round pick in 2011, he had 49 tackles and three sacks in 16 games last season.
