The mayor of Indianapolis says the city will make a bid to host the 2018 Super Bowl after this year's event was such a success.

Saying "let's do it again," Mayor Greg Ballard announced the plan Wednesday. He says the NFL won't pick the host city for the 2018 game until 2014, but he was encouraged by the response to this year's game in February when the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots.

Super Bowl host committee president Allison Melangton says a review found that 99 percent of media mentions about Indianapolis surrounding the Super Bowl were positive. The week before the game was mild and sunny, but organizers say they believe large crowds would have come in colder weather, too.
