Munich, Germany (SportsNetwork.com) - Bayern Munich has announced the signing of Eintracht midfielder Sebastian Rode, who will join the Bundesliga champions this summer on a free transfer.

Eintracht made it known in January that Rode would be leaving at the end of the season to join Bayern, and the 23-year-old has now come to terms on a four-year contract with the Bavarian side.

Rode has been at Eintracht since 2010 and made 61 Bundesliga appearances for the team, although he is out for the rest of the current campaign after suffering a knee injury in February.

"I am delighted that this transfer worked out," Rode told Bayern's official website. "FC Bayern is the next big step for me. I want to further myself here and win many titles with my future teammates."

In addition to Rode, Bayern has already signed Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski, who will also join Pep Guardiola's team on a free transfer this summer.
